The Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for Agricultural Pesticides is a regulation intended to reduce the risk of pesticide poisonings and injuries among agricultural workers and pesticide handlers. Federal law requires field workers to take the WPS course every 5 years and California law requires pesticide handler training every year.
