Respecting the land we farm is first and foremost in our growers’ minds.
California strawberry farmers protect more than 33,000 acres
along California’s Central Coast. Sustainable management of water and nutrient
resources ensure that our growers and their families can farm for generations
to come. California strawberry growers have invested more than $28 million dollars
into environmentally sustainable production research over the last 50 years.
Research priorities for the grant process are driven by
grower priorities developed by grower members of our board. This ensures that
research funds are spent on issues that affect our growers.
